Buyer’s Agents Worth the Cost
One of my good friends just started working as a home buyers agent. She has described her job to me, and I simply cannot believe that as a home buyer, I could use her services with no cost out of my pocket. She explained to me that the agent’s commission is paid by the seller, and then the commission is split between the buying and selling agents. So, as the buyer, I get all the benefit of the agent’s expertise, with none of the cost. Potentially, the home may cost slightly more because the seller may not be willing to negotiate as much since they are paying a realtor, but in general, this is usually worth it.
