Bubble Gum Is Not the Greatest Rock Music
I don’t know what the Greatest Rock Music ever is, but I’m pretty sure it’s not the bubble gum music from the late 60s and 70s. I was looking at a coffee table book on Rock music in the bookstore, and I saw that “Hey, Jude” was the number one song of 1968. That’s cool. It’s by the Beatles, and it was a really nice song. But I couldn’t believe that only a year later people from that era had lost their minds and their good taste. The Archie’s “Sugar Sugar” was the number one song for 1969. Give me a break! What a sad way to end one of the greatest decades in Rock music.
