Not the Plastic Grass of 1960
Recently, with the eco-friendly movement, a friend of mine told me that they were considering putting in a roof top garden. While I am not new to gardening, I have certainly never planted a garden on top of a roof. My friend told me that it’s becoming more and more popular. When I asked how they were going to space plan the garden, I was surprised to find that they wanted to use artificial turf along the walk ways and raised garden beds for flowers and vegetables. Immediately, my mind went to the 1960′s and the fake look of artificial grass.
