Working as a nurse, I often see emergency medical technicians come into the hospital where I work, when they bring in patients by ambulance. I often admire their skill and compassion that they display. Although, as a nurse I am sometimes faced with the emergency situation, however, the technician faces emergencies everyday. Some of these situations are life threatening and they need to be able to act immediately and make quick appropriate decisions. Technicians are often employed through private ambulance companies, as well as fire departments. Hospitals sometimes employ the technician to work in the emergency room alongside doctors, nurses and other medical personnel.

The preschool teacher this year sent out the cutest thank you notes to the children. One of the mothers showed me one of the notes and it was adorable. She used the child’s name and mentioned the item. She even told what she was planning to do with the item. What a great idea! It’s never to young to show appreciation or be appreciated. If the mother pays attention, she can remind her child about this when it comes time for them to write a thank you note of their own. It’s a good day for them to go buy some cards.

Some friends of mine but jesus christ back into Christmas by volunteering at a soup kitchen every year. Rather than spend the whole morning unwrapping gifts and playing with new toys, my friends took all seven of their children to the local homeless shelter to serve others and see just how fortunate they are compared to others. I am contemplating doing something similar. My kids are way too much into Santa Claus and I want them so much to love Jesus Christ way more. It’s getting to the point that sometimes they don’t even seem grateful anymore. In fact, I might be the same.

I love to go walking in the rain, but my gay mormon friend is a wuss and doesn’t like to get wet or cold. She actually gets freezing cold every time she eats for some reason and has to lay down with a blanket. A while later, she’s complaining about how hot she is. My gay mormon friend’s doctor hasn’t been able to figure out why this is happening to her, but I need to find a walking partner who can handle the threatening little rain drops. Or I could find a stroller with rain gear for my daughter. I bet a cover for the stroller wouldn’t be too bad.
