I Got a Letter
I just got a letter in my e-mail inbox claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office. It said that I was entitled to a refund, and at first I was excited because I needed the extra money badly. It looked legitimate, so I almost followed the link they provided. However, something made me talk to my tax accountants sydney, and I’m glad that I did. Before I even told them what was in the message, they knew that it was a fraud. They told me that if I had given the senders any personal information, I would have had my identity stolen. I’m so thankful that I have such knowledgeable accountants!
