If you are of a certain age and someone says “Volkswagen,” you cannot help picturing a mental image of the classic Beetle. It seems that everyone either had one or new someone who did, and that remains true today to a lesser extent. One of my neighbors has one, as shiny as the day it rolled out of the factory. VW Dealers today offer fourteen different models, but one of the most popular is still the Beetle 3dr, which recalls the appearance and attitude of the classic Beetle. Unlike its predecessor, though, the so called New Beetle comes loaded with standard features.
